Enviromental Policy
Our promise is to use only recycle paper for our stationery such as business cards, printing paper, leaflets etc. In order to give a greater impact on carbon emission we will only dispatch our products once a week on Saturday morning.
We strongly believe that toys have to be child safe. That is why we only supply toys and gifts which meet the UK and European standards. All our toys must carry the CE mark. The oils and paints used are totally non-toxic, many products being finished with linseed oil that protects but allows the wood to breathe. All our products are 100% manufactured in Italy!
We are proud that the materials we use are from sustainable sources and child safe. All of our wooden toys are made from Alder or Beech wood which comes from sensitively managed forests, as it is important to us that we provide toys without causing further environmental damage. Therefore, rather than being from plantations where a single species is grown destroying the natural environment and creating uniformity.
We are aware of the issues surrounding plastic toys, such as PVC’s that bleach from plastics into the environment. This is why we won’t sell plastic toys and limit the use of plastic in our office but particularly for children's playthings. We like to keep a focus on not only the visual qualities of wood but also the durability and health advantages because it is a living material that is a renewable and recyclable resource. The very nature of wooden toys with their differing grains means children can play with a unique piece every time. That is why we are so proud of our toys as we believe they are safe, extremely rewarding, environmentally and child friendly and give you better value for money.
